2000 Post no bills Photo and text by May Chan and Natalie Siu It is said that opportunities to make money are everywhere in Hong Kong. People publicize themselves through hundreds of posters and bills, which are posted on lampposts, walls of buildings, just about everywhere they can be stuck to. They can be seen in nearly every street, especially on weekends, when the banks are closed and the gates are covered by bills. Most people just skim through the bills, without really reading them. This kind of wallpaper in the city usually receives no more than an indifferent glance from pedestrians rushing by. The bills do not stay long. They are either covered or torn off before long.
