Paper dragon

The Ha Tak Kin Youth Dance Team attracted an audience on 11 February at a Hong Kong sovereignty transition countdown ceremony.

Dragon dancing is an arduous task. It is tiring to move the shiny, colourful dragon body continuously up and down, let alone to wield the big dragon head, whose frame is made of bamboo sticks.

Nevertheless, the dance team is now strong and energetic enough to take up the task, just as they will take up the future development of Hong Kong.

Above: Dragon dancing is an art form requiring prop design, a sense of rhythm to the drum -- and lot sof energy.
