That is limiting their thoughts about what options they actually have,\u201d Baibai says.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ko earned 3.6 million or 26% of the votes, falling short of Kuomintang\u2019s Hou Yu-ih at 33% and the ruling Democratic Progressive Party\u2019s president-elect William Lai Ching-te at 40%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ko&#8217;s campaign has attracted a lot of young people, which is supported by statistics. According to an analysis conducted by the News Lens, a Taiwanese online media outlet, around 48% of 20-39-year-old voted for Ko.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"alignnormal\"><div id=\"metaslider-id-23829\" style=\"max-width: 1824px;\" class=\"ml-slider-3-100-1 metaslider metaslider-flex metaslider-23829 ml-slider ms-theme-default\" role=\"region\" aria-label=\"tw 2\" data-height=\"1050\" data-width=\"1824\">\n    <div id=\"metaslider_container_23829\">\n        <div id=\"metaslider_23829\" class=\"flexslider\">\n            <ul class='slides'>\n                <li style=\"display: block;
