Mass dance
Photos and text by Dora Tang

Jointly organized by six university dance clubs, a series of dance performances was held at the Chinese University of Hong Kong in November. Accompanied by rock and intense music, the dancers performed in front of the University Library in the mid-levels of the campus. Though they were amateur groups, the skill of each troupe won a great deal of applause from the audience.

Today's audiences are no longer satisfied with only simple steps.
Choreographers nowadays have to create acrobatic routines to
add greater difficulty to the performance.

The dancers' devotion seems to impress the audience, larger than usual for this kind of event.

Not only do the routines capture audience attention, so do the sexy, colourful costumes.
