'I cherish the artistic life'
- Amy Chan |
By Emily Hui | |
Out of curiosity, Amy Chan joined an artist training programme after Form 5 graduation in 1978. She was an actress from 1979 to 1982, and devoted a few years to a singing career. Later, she gave up everything to become a housewife. She returned to acting again in 1990, but was not very active in showbiz. Nevertheless, every series she acts wins her praise and approval from audiences. The recently finished series "A Better Future" has caused her career to peak. |
Q: What caused you to re-enter this field? A: After being a housewife for 3 years, I found myself "functionless" without work. While I was planning to run a flower shop and faced many obstacles, TVB approached me.
Q: What are the differences in being a singer now as compared
with the past?
Q: How do you feel about the rebirth of your career?
Q: If you were no longer an artist, what do you think you would
be doing now?
Q: If you had plenty of money, do you think you would continue
to do what you are doing now?
Q: If one day, you find that no one in the street can recognized
you, how would you feel?
Q: Is there any wish or hope that you have not yet fulfilled?
Q: How would you rank career, family, money and freedom in order
of importance?
