Housing for the rich and poor

Everyone needs a home. However, a serious housing shortaeg prevails in Hong Kong. The poverty stricken still live in areas with poor facilities and living environments. High income groups live in luxurious estates with opulent environments. The contrast between the two has gradually become one of the distinguishing features of Hong Kong.

        Some families in squatter areas
live in the shops which they own.

       

        Children in poor village play
in the alleys between the shacks.

       

        Children in poor villages sometimes
have few options for recreation.
