Lee Shing-chun, 20, says the current splits in society are worrying.

Lee says that when people respect one another, the existence of many different voices demonstrate diversity. But when people start insulting those who hold different views, diversity is twisted into increasing polarisation. He hopes society can remain rational while discussing various issues.

“A hundred people can have 100 different voices. As long as they respect one another, then that’s diversity. But if they don’t respect each other and insult one another and use hurtful words, then it’s twisted. Society becomes torn.”
